XL4 double-plate penstock
The Gaildorf 2018 natural power storage pilot project is breaking new ground, which requires individualized products - BÜSCH accompanies you from planning and design to production and assembly.
The first BÜSCH delivery could be inspected at the end of 2018 in the already installed condition. A custom-made double-plate penstock (2000 × 5000 mm) with independently moving plates. This is located in an inlet and outlet structure that regulates the water balance of the power plant - once between the lower reservoir and the adjacent river Kocher and also between the lower reservoir and the pump turbines.

The Żerań combined heat and power plant in Warsaw, built in the mid-1950s, is one of the largest combined heat and power plants in Poland and generates both electricity and district heating. In order to be able to continue to operate the longest district heating network in Central Europe reliably in the future, modernization measures are constantly being implemented. Our XL4 penstocks meet an absolute tightness according to EN 12266 and can withstand a pressure of 1.0 bar with a water column of 10 m.

During maintenance work, they reliably prevent the cooling water from flowing back into the pump station and must therefore be driven reliably.
